Collector is a small village on the Federal Highway in New South Wales, halfway between Goulburn and the Australian Capital Territory.
Collector is situated in the Lake George wine region, and several wineries have been established near the village, including Lerida Estate, Lake George Winery and the award-winning Collector Wines, our personal fave! It is relatively close to many more wineries and wedding venues in the Canberra wine region, so it is a perfect spot to stay and explore all of these regions from a central location in the Southern Tablelands.
The Collector Markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month with eight boutique stalls featuring hand-crafted, hand-made and eco-friendly products. The Collector is also home to the perfect spot for a coffee and bite to eat, Some Cafe. They stock a range of locally made products, from wines around the region to jams and honey and everything in between. Collector Fresh is a rustic providore, farm shop and artisan gift store stocking regional produce. Jude is available to provide breakfast, charcuterie and cheese or butcher options for the locals and guests, so reach out to her for all options and pricing. Collector is increasing in popularity as a commuter town due to its proximity to the larger centres of Goulburn and Canberra, with new residents attracted by the country’s lifestyle and village atmosphere and we can see why! Once you arrive in the Collector, you’ll see why too, you’ll never want to leave!
